Kevin Arrien grew up in the small eastern Oregon agricultural town of Juntura. Kevin attended a two-room grade school where his mother was the teacher in one of the two classrooms teaching grades 1 through 4. After high school in Vale, Oregon, Kevin went on to The University of Portland, in Portland, Oregon and gained a degree in business. Kevin studied for one year of his college in Salzburg, Austria. This brought Kevin a lot of adventurous desires to learn more about the world.

After graduating from college Kevin worked in the corporate world for a few years dealing mostly with finance. In 1991 Kevin gained his security licenses and has been in the industry every day since 11/25/91. In the early years, Kevin gained experience working in the banking industry working with the bank’s clients to deliver securities to them. Also in the early years, Kevin worked for Merrill Lynch working with clients in the large brokerage house environment. These experiences were valuable and gave Kevin the tools to develop a better environment for the clients at Arrien Investments.

While Kevin has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years, Kevin formally started Arrien Investments, Inc. in 1997, approximately 26 years ago.  It has been a fast and wonderful 26 years. The majority of the clients that started with Arrien Investments in 1997 are still being served by Arrien Investments. Kevin is still at the helm of Arrien Investments, but Alex Hansen has been training for 10+ years to operate the company and will in the not-too-distant future be running Arrien Investments. As Kevin slows down, Alex is picking up Kevin’s load with greater competency than has ever been in the Arrien Investment organization.

As a seasoned CERTIFIED FINANCAL PLANNER® practitioner with over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, Alex brings a wealth of expertise to our team at AI. With a passion for helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals, he specializes in comprehensive financial planning and investment management tailored to each client's unique needs.

His career journey began here at AI where he honed his skills under Kevin G. Arrien’s guidance in portfolio management and financial analysis. Over the years, he has obtained certifications including the CERTIFIED FINANCAL PLANNER® practitioner designation, underscoring his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in financial planning.

At AI Alex focuses on building long-term relationships with clients based on trust, transparency, and personalized service. He believes in a holistic approach to financial planning, encompassing retirement planning, investment strategy, estate planning, tax management, and risk mitigation. By understanding each client's aspirations and concerns, he crafts customized financial plans designed to navigate life's complexities and achieve financial security.

Alex is passionate about financial literacy and wants to help educate people fully to understand all aspects of finance and economics. He feels it is especially important to plan and save starting as early as possible. 

Outside of work Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is extremely grateful for a loving family that is supportive in his career.

Payton joined Arrien Investments in 2022 as an associate and became an advisor after obtaining her investment licensing. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Boise State University where she graduated a year and a half early in 2021. Payton values the boutique nature of Arrien Investments and the firms’ commitment to client relationships.

Payton enjoys the intellectual challenge of investment research and portfolio management. She feels it is imperative to understand the goals of each client and enjoys helping people pursue their vision through comprehensive financial planning and asset allocation.

Payton’s interests outside of finance include fashion, art, and boxing. Most of her free time is spent with her family and friends, exercising, or finding some creative outlet.

Sheri transitioned from the agricultural world, moving from a ranching community to join the team at Arrien Investments in 2017. She excels in client servicing, manages the office and assists the financial advisors, contributing to the continual effort for client satisfaction to remain at its highest level.

Striving for excellence in client servicing and recognizing the importance of the client relationship is the motivating factor resulting in the enjoyment Sheri derives from her work.

Beyond the time spent in the office pursuing the Arrien Investments mission, a priority for Sheri is making memorable moments with her family and entertaining her grandchildren. She also relishes enjoying the beauties of nature and indulging in the bountiful goods it produces.

Andi graduated from Eastern Oregon University with an MBA while balancing a rewarding college basketball career. Her professional journey started in the mortgage lending industry, where she developed a foundation in finance before joining Arrien Investments.

At Arrien Investments, she is dedicated to expanding her knowledge of finance while focusing on helping clients achieve their financial goals. Andi is committed to enhancing operational efficiencies and maintaining client relationships.  

Outside of work, Andi enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, diving into a good book, and listening to live music.

Daniel is a Client Services Associate at Arrien Investments. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional support and service to our valued clients. With a passion for agriculture, economics and geopolitics, he contributes to the advisory team's mission of providing the comprehensive financial guidance and personalized strategies.

Daniel’s role involves assisting our licensed advisors in client interactions, client servicing and ensuring smooth operations within the firm. He is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all client engagements, helping to build and nurture long-lasting relationships based on trust and reliability.

Driven by a passion for the equity, bond, and commodity markets and a commitment to client satisfaction, he continually expands his knowledge of financial markets and products to better serve our clients' needs. By staying informed about industry trends and regulations, he supports the advisors in delivering informed and strategic financial information.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with family.
